The Grant Contract of the project LT-RU-1-002 “The Curonian Spit: fighting the fires” has been signed.

 The essence of this project is cross-border cooperation and joint actions of the firefighters and rescuers who will reinforce the capacities to respond to emergency situations and natural or man-made disasters. Purchase of modern-day specialized vehicles and equipment complete with conduction of trainings and cross-border exercise by two partners from Russia and Lithuania – National Park “Kurshskaya Kosa” and Budgetary Institution “Services for Neringa”, shall assure faster reacting to the site of fire and more efficient extinguishing fires. The budget of the project is over 0,4 MEUR, the duration – 24 months.
